Our market's story began in 1999 with a vision to create something extraordinary. What followed was an ambitious eight-year planning journey, driven by the intricate nature of the project and the sensitive heritage of its location. When we finally opened our gates in 2007, the response was overwhelming – visitors and media alike celebrated the debut as a stunning success.

The Lighting Philosophy
Through an elaborate illumination design, we achieved something remarkable: transforming both the market grounds and the historic palace itself into a romantic tableau. The entire venue evolved into a winter wonderland, aglow with carefully crafted light installations. We engaged the community directly, conducting surveys to determine the palace lighting colors, ensuring the vision reflected public preference.
Integration with Nature
Every mature tree on the grounds was incorporated into the design. The decorative perimeter fencing became part of the lighting scheme, while the main entrance featured dramatic illuminated tower cascades, each standing eight meters tall, creating a grand welcome for guests.
Authentic Presentation
We made a conscious choice to avoid cheap plastic decorations for the wooden huts and pavilion tents. Instead, natural materials take center stage, complemented by custom-designed wooden waste receptacles. A pristine appearance is maintained through meticulous cleaning protocols and environmentally conscious reusable systems throughout our dining areas.
Culinary Excellence
The palace square became home to the capital's largest winter open-air dining experience. More than thirty heated and illuminated tent pavilions showcased premium gastronomy from distinguished hotels and restaurants across the Berlin-Brandenburg region, offering visitors exceptional culinary experiences in a magical setting.

No other seasonal market in the city offers such a distinctive combination: exclusive guided palace tours paired with contemplative holiday impressions, creating memories that extend far beyond a typical market visit.

Our family programming stands out not only because it's offered complimentary, but because it centers the spirit of the season without being didactic. The large craft and storytelling tent, operated in partnership with local cultural institutions, draws enthusiastic participation, as do the specially designed youth-focused activities within the palace itself. The vintage carousel, offering free rides, adds another layer of nostalgic charm to the children's experience.
