Palace Illuminations
The vision for this remarkable Christmas market was conceived back in 1999. The organizers demonstrated extraordinary persistence through eight years of careful planning and development, a period necessitated by the intricate design requirements and the historical sensitivity of the palace grounds. When the market finally premiered in 2007, it made an immediate and profound impression on both visitors and the media alike.
Through an exceptionally sophisticated lighting design, the organizers succeeded in bathing both the market stalls and the palace building itself in a romantic glow, transforming the entire grounds into a luminous winter celebration. The color scheme for the palace lighting was thoughtfully determined through a community survey conducted beforehand, ensuring the illuminations reflected the wishes of local residents.
Every tree on the event grounds was integrated into the lighting concept, creating a cohesive visual experience. The decorative fencing became part of the light installation itself, while the main entrance was dramatically highlighted with eight-meter-tall illuminated tower cascades that served as beacons welcoming visitors to this enchanted setting.
The lighting installation remains one of the market's most celebrated features, creating an atmosphere of warmth and magic throughout the winter season.
